The master cleanse is an incredible way to jumpstart your health, appetite, cravings and palate, to start the habit of living a long, healthy life in not only your body, but also your mind, emotions and spirit!

Coming off the Master Cleanse:

I’m going to start with the beginning, because, this was hard!  And, if you’re going to do it, you need to know that it’s a challenge, and it’s WORTH it!

My first whole food after the Master Cleanse was an avocado with salt, pepper and a little cayenne pepper.  It may have been the most delicious, magnificent food I have ever eaten.
 
You see, I just finished a “10” day cleanse.  “10” is in parenthesis because that’s bullshit.  It was an 11+ day cleanse… coming off the master cleanse is a full day of drinking orange juice before you start eating again.  (I’m really tired of squeezing citrus and would be happy to never do it again, at least, not for a little while).
 
But, all complaining aside: I DID IT!  And, you can too, with a little physical and mental prep.  Ready for some hypnosis?  I didn’t think to use it, and next time I do this, I most certainly will!  It challenged and cleaned out every aspect of my body and mind!

Master Cleanse for Body Mind and Spirit

 
Your body is your temple.

There is research pointing to the link between the digestion and health of the gut, and emotions.  There are even theories that depression comes from having terrible gut health. 
 
 

Changing My Eating Patterns and Habits

 
So, I have decided to change my eating patterns and habits.  I have spent the last 10 years learning to change my thinking patters, my behavioral patters, my relationships patterns, and it was finally time to align my body with my mind and spirit.
 
My experience after having done the Master Cleanse for 10 days, and then eating a completely organic, whole food, vegan diet is that I find that my mind is clear.  My body feels amazing.  I find that I am not avoiding anything.  I don’t have any cravings for unhealthy, addictive foods, like sugars and caffeine.   I am craving strange things, like beet greens and papaya!
 

Not Weight Loss But A Way To Get Healthy

This 10 day Master Cleanse had NOTHING to do with weight loss for me, and began totally as a way to get healthy.  I knew I had some food addictions, and I was hoping this would help.  Now that I’ve been through it, and have been eating whole, organic foods for about a week, I realize this was a holistic cleanse.
 
It’s not enough to just cleanse the body and have negative thoughts.   And it’s not enough to clean out the negative thoughts and have a toxic body.  True holistic health is taking care of both. 
 

Cleaning Out Your Body, Mind, And Spirit

If you are going to clean out your gut, you also consider cleaning out your body, mind and spirit!
 
I remember a client coming to me once who had been eating “clean” for about a month.  As soon as I closed the door, she broke down crying and said, “since I have been eating clean, I cant avoid all of these feelings any longer! I need to feel them and get them out.”  Needless to say, it was a fantastic body-mind session, where we removed stored emotional energy from her body and she became freer in body and mind!

Master Cleanse Protocol:

 
  • Eat CLEAN for at least 3 days prior.
  • Drink “Lemonade” (recipe below): 6-12 cups a day
  • Take Herbal Laxitive Tea every night
  • Flush with Salt Water every morning.
  • Enjoy fresh Orange Juice for 2 days afterwards.

So, here are the details of these steps.

 
Eat CLEAN for at least 3 days prior.  This means, eat fruits and veggies only.  No breads and meats and cheeses and alcohol, etc.  If you can’t go three days eating just fruits and veggies, and your body and mind go crazy, this is a good place to start.  You may be too toxic to do a full out cleanse.  The guy who wrote this cleanse would argue with me… but that’s my non-professional opinion.

Lemonade

Drink “Lemonade” (recipe below): 6-12 cups a day
I made the lemonade about 2-3 times a day.  The longer the cayenne sits in the lemonade, the spicier it gets, so watch out!

Herbal Laxitive Tea

Drink Herbal Laxitive Tea every night.  I would wake up about 6 hours after I drak the tea and everything would come out of me.  Sometimes it took about an hour, sometimes more.

Salt Water Flush

Do Salt Water Flush every morning.  I would drink this after I finished using the bathroom in the morning (very early morning, sometimes 3am ,4am, 5am…).  I liked to split the water in half and put the salt in one half.  It made it easier to get down quickly for me.  I just imagined it was chicken broth and it wasn’t so bad.  The first day was the worst, because I have swallowed too much ocean water, and I was nervous it would taste as terribly salty as the ocean.  It wasn’t bad at all.  This flush sometimes went right through me within an hour, and other days would take up to 6 hours to come out.

Orange Juice

Drink fresh OJ for 2 days afterwards.  When you finally finish the cleanse, you’re so happy you’re finished, but do your best to hold the intention of a 12 days cleanse, because day 11 and for some people 12, are all orange juice all day.  No solids.  By the end of the second day, I made myself a soup.

MASTER CLEANSE RECIPE:

Lemonade:

2 oz FRESH squeezed organic lemon juice
2 oz GRADE B Organic Maple syrup (also known as Grade A, dark with Robust Taste)
1/10 tsp organic cayenne pepper
8-10oz pure, filtered water

Herbal Laxative Tea:

There are many available on the market.  You just need to make sure there is Senna in there.  I used the Peppermint Smooth Move.

Salt Water Flush:

2 Tsp Himalayan Pink Salt
4 cups (32oz) water
Drink within 5 minutes.  (I found it easier to put 2 tsp in 2 cups of water and then chase it with the 2 cups of non-salt water).

Vegetable Soup Recipe:

1 organic onion diced
1 TBSP organic EVOO
½ pound organic baby carrots cut into bite sized pieces
1 organic celery stick (all the stalks included – about 6)
2 large leaves Chard or any other bitter green
2 organic potatoes, diced
1 can organic pinto beans
organic turmeric, chili powder, rosemary, salt and pepper to taste

Sauté the onion over medium heat in the oil until starting to turn translucent. Add celery and carrots for about 4 minutes until they all start to get some color on them.  Add the greens. Add the spices.  Add water to the top of the pot (I used 4 quart pot).  Simmer on low for 4 hours.  Uncover, turn up heat.  Boil out some of the water to reduce.  Put in potatoes for 10 minutes.  Add beans.  Serve immediately.
